Holy Paladin application.

I have sat in the back just healing tanks all the time not even learning their real name or what they like to do besides play WOW... As you can see I have never been in a real guild before that actually raided with its own members in the same raid. Im what you call a (PUG Person)..

I am Righteously, a healadin. I am currently 10/12 ICC 10man and Im 6/12 ICC 25. And you must say for a Pick up group that is good, i have earned my gear like it should be earned, not getting carried by some really geared out people but by hard healing and tons of wipes, i realized i needed to find a guild.(Which i have been looking for one for quite awhile)...

All my gear is not enchanted yet because i just got some of it, i am switching my mail legs with Corrupted Silverplate leggings because i just got those and paladins dont need much mana per 5.. I Am also about to get my Tier 10 helm then i will put the enchant on it.

Any particular reason you did not spec down into the Prot tree to get Divine Sacrifice and Divine Guardian?

Why do you think MP5 is not an important stat for a Holy Pally?

What spell rotation do you use?

Do you have any parsed logs to show your healing?


I also really hope you only have that weapon because the one you had before that was horrible.

I need haste more than anything right now, thats why i said i dont need mp5.

I am using this weapon because i have not found a better one yet, hard to kill rotface and fester with a (PUG).

I picked this spec because i thought that the 5% spell crit would be more efficient.

As a rotation goes. Beacon and sacred shield tank before he goes in. Flash of light spam. If tanks getting hit hard DI and holy light.

Flash of light spam is not a great way to heal, I would go up to spamming holy light, since you stack intellect gems and have the holy light glyph anyway. You definitely have the gear to do so as well. It's the most efficient way to heal, and elitist jerks will confirm that.

Needing haste isnt a good reason to ignore mp5. MP5 is better for Holy Pallies now than crit. Since your mana pool is in the low 30s MP5 is even more important to you so you can spam HL

5% crit is good but DS and DG are much more useful in raids. Increasing the duration of SS by 100% alone is worth it, not to mention the 20% increase in dmg absorption and being able to take damage away from raid members when needed, which is really useful in a good number of the boss fights in ICC.

You should be spamming HL, FoL is fine for heroics and trash mobs but on boss fights using HL in response to spike damage is a bad idea, if you wait that long it already too late. Tanks in ICC pretty much need to have enough heals to fill them from zero to full incoming at all times.


I know you said you are new to healing, but if you want to get serious consideration on getting into a raiding guild you really need to know the ins and outs of pally healing.
